Annual Events

All annual events are free and held from 10a.m.-1p.m.unless noted otherwise.

Play- A- Palooza

On the first Saturday in April children ages 10 and under along with parents or caregivers are invited to come celebrate the seasonal opening of the Playground.

Take your Parents to Play Day

On the third Saturday in June children ages 0-10  and their caregivers can whiz down the Ann Newman Giant Wooden Slide; take part in fun activities; blow bubbles and much much more.

Grandparents Day 

On the second Saturday in September children are invited to bring their grandparents with them for a day of special activities and play at Smith.

Ongoing Programs

Story Hour 

Smith hosts a story hour on the second  and fourth Wednesdays of the month at 10:30 a.m. for children five and under.  Each session led by Smith staff and volunteers, features stories and songs.  Pre-Registration is requested.

Crafts in the Playhouse

Smith hosts Crafts in the Playhouse on the third Friday of the month from January-April and September-December from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.  Each month will feature special crafts for children 5 and under. 
 
Pre School

For over 40 years, Smith has been home to a unique co-operative pre school program. The Pre-School meets Tuesdays and Thursdays and is open to children ages 3-5.  Registration for the 2008-2009 school year is closed.

Summer Day Camp-  

For six magical weeks each summer Smith hosts a day camp for ages 6-10.  Pre- registration is required.  Registration for the 2008 Summer Day Camp is closed.
